Behaviour Policy

Our policy is to praise good behaviour rather than to highlight undesirable behaviour.  Our aim is towards self-discipline and responsibility for one’s own actions.  The one rule for all of us in school is:

Be safe.  Be kind.  Be helpful.

Everyone will show respect, care, consideration and politeness at all times.

Class ‘Smile Files’, House Points, Golden Time and Superstar Assemblies are used to reward good work and behaviour.  If a child continually shows non-acceptable behaviour, the parents will be informed and appropriate actions taken in accordance with our behaviour policy, which is available at school or download pdf here.

The Code of Acceptable Behaviour and Rewards and Sanctions can be seen here: download.

Anti-Bullying Policy (pupils)

We believe that bullying should never be tolerated in the school community.

Bullying is:

  • deliberately hurtful behaviour
  • often repeated over a period of time
  • difficult for those being bullied to defend themselves

Three main types of bullying are:

  • physical - hitting, kicking, taking belongings
  • verbal/cyber - name-calling, insulting, racist remarks
  • indirect - spreading nasty stories, excluding from social groups

Please see our Anti-Bullying policy (download pdf), child-friendly version here.
