Gorseybrigg Primary School

Giving Pride through Success

We aim to provide the best possible education for all our children and to ensure their potential is fully realised.

Central to our concerns is the fostering of self-confidence and independence in our children and of excellence in all that our staff and children do.

We play a full part in our community, and prepare our children for adult life.

Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Helpful

Our school offers spacious, light well-equipped classrooms, a large hall, two library areas, a community room, a purpose built ICT room and a kitchen. There are extensive playing fields in a semi-rural location, and areas designated for the little ones.

We aim to:

  • Provide a happy and secure environment in which children can develop academically, physically and socially to achieve their full potential.
  • Provide a safe and caring environment in which children can grow in confidence, independence and self-esteem.
  • Provide a stimulating environment in which children can develop lively enquiring mids and apply themselves enthusiastically to a wide variety of tasks.
  • Give all children equal access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Meet every child's needs, extending individual talents and helping overcome special difficulties.
  • Foster respect, care, consideration and politeness in all our children.
  • Work in partnership with parents.
  • Play a full part in our local community and make full use of our local environment.
  • Prepare our children for adult life.
